As I mentioned in my previous post, I really love everyday!fic. And also it is the middle of finals week and I am desperately in need of some distraction from the academic. SO!

Give me up to three characters for any fandom in my tags list (you can ask about others you think I'm familiar with, but no promises) and I will write you comment!fic about them waking up in the morning and/or eating breakfast.

/Edit Sorry: I've only watched the first couple of episodes still of Merlin and I don't feel like I have a good enough handle on the characters to write them yet. Other fandoms are go.

Felix is still curled up in the ditch we fell into last night when we couldn't walk no more, curled up and rocking in on himself a little like Keeper sometimes would with the real little kids. "Hey," I say, crouching down next to him, and he must be less down the well than he looks cause he raises his head when I do. "There's a little of the bread left, though there ain't nothin to go with it. You should eat a little before we go."

"Okay," he nods in that simside cant, still cringing back from me like he thinks I'm gonna whop him. There's nothing I can do about that right now though, so I just hand him all we got left of the bread from the last town and start trying to figure out what we're going to do until I can get us more.

Shinjiroh sits up from the nest of blankets they'd made of Aki's bed and looks muzzily around. Something smells strongly of burning and something sweet--brown sugar?-- and he catches sight of Aki weaving his way past the discarded pants between him and the cabinet with pretensions of being a kitchen on the far side of his studio, carrying a giant bowl of something still fainting steaming.

"I, uh. Oatmeal?" Aki sinks down onto the covers next to him, and he can see that there is brown sugar, and raisins too, and probably even a bit of butter in there, and Aki's holding two spoons. He shoves a bit in his mouth before the smile can twist his lips, but he's pretty sure Aki notices it anyway.

"'Sgood."

Aki's just holding his spoon, looking up at Shinji all soft. "Yeah, it is."

Blue Collar/Modern!AU (shamelessly stolen from L and also others)

Basch leans back against the cracked plastic seats of the diner's booth, cupping his coffee mug in big hands. Ashe can't seem to make herself look away, watches as he takes one long swallow that makes the muscles in his throat move under the stubble.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," Balthier announces, looking far too awake for twenty hours straight of fucking and driving and watching Ashe study in the back of Basch's pickup. "Breakfast is served!"

The french toast and eggs look gorgeous, thick with syrup and cheese and slices of winter-orange on the side--and more importantly it SMELLS gorgeous with dinner some ten hours and 500 miles behind them--but both Ashe and Basch steal a kiss from his dry lips before they let him put the plates down.

It wasn't so much that I wanted a crossover - it was that I read the meme as "the characters waking up separately" rather than "waking up together," which is just an error in the way my brain processed the language. ^_^;
